Solar Cookers International (SCI) manages the Solar Cooking Wiki, the world’s largest online database of solar cooking (www.solarcooking.org). The SCI Wiki has over 1,800 webpages of information and is automatically translatable into 37 languages. Install solar panels together for a sustainable world

Contribute to a sustainable future together with your neighbors. That is the purpose of the Europapark neighborhood project in Sittard, The Netherlands. On the initiative of local resident Melle van Buren, the residents of 20 houses together laid 240 solar panels on their roofs last year. A project that was partly realized thanks to IBC SOLAR, supplier of solar energy systems in Echt, The Netherlands. “There are more neighborhood initiatives in the field of solar panels, but they usually unsuccessful. The fact that this project has succeeded and is still expanding makes it special, ”says Harold Salden, director of IBC SOLAR in Echt. Continue reading

UNEF’s Solar Forum gathers 700+ professionals of the PV sector

The Spanish PV Association (UNEF) organized in Madrid on October 22nd-23rd the 6th edition of the Solar Forum, the annual event of the PV industry that gathered 700+ attendees from 13 countries during two days of conference and round-tables. UNEF releases a study on the economic, social and environmental impact of the Spanish PV industry

The Spanish PV Association (UNEF) has released the main conclusions of its macro-economic report on the national PV industry, in which the direct, indirect and induced activity of the sector is analyzed from three dimensions of sustainability: the economic, social and environmental ones.
