2020 is Darwinian year, it´s the year of the adaptation of the species.  And the photovoltaic sector has shown in Spain that it is willing not only to survive but to lead the energy transition as the main renewable energy source. After a difficult start, in which some projects were temporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 epidemic, photovoltaics is in an important reactivation phase in our country. During the confinement, citizens saved, had time to think and have been able to benefit from some local tax cuts, which means that we could even improve the historical results of 2019. Thus, the main solar event of Spain is fundamental to consolidate photovoltaic as driver of the Spanish economy.

In response to Darwin’s reflections, the # ForoSolar2020 will take place virtually on October 21, 22 and 23 to guarantee the health security of all participants and speakers. The platform that will be used to broadcast UNEF’s event has an important networking tool that will allow attendees to establish contact and private face-to-face meetings, B2B, through videoconferencing.  As in last year’s edition, which brought together more than 700 people, once again we will have the participation of companies in the photovoltaic and renewable sector, electricity companies, experts in legislation and financing, as well as technicians and representatives of the institutions national and international most recognized. As it is a virtual meeting, UNEF also considers that it could facilitate the presence of the smallest producers and installers who avoid getting into Madrid.

This is the great challenge of #FotroSolar2020: to face the circumstances and adapt to new realities, not only at the health level, but also to changing market conditions, trying to get the best out of the technological revolution to consolidate that photovoltaic dream which we had fought tirelessly for so many years. We evolve to win.
