Allan Okello

Allan is a business development professional, and the Business Lead for Tukole Uganda. Tukole, is a platform that serves to connect skilled and semi-skilled blue-collar workers to individuals, companies that need short term, long term and contract professional services. Solar technicians are a focus for Tukole and a growing sector in Uganda. After sales service, repair and installation are the service offering Tukole is driving with in the solar sector.

From 2018 to Jan 2021, Allan worked for Village Power Uganda a leading, last mile sales and distribution solar home system provider in Uganda, in charge of Business Development, marketing and customer experience. Allan has experience delivering projects with at risk populations, in refugee settings, in rural and urban areas as well as with schools and last mile communities.

Allan grew into a leader through exposure dealing with government officials and counterparts whilst at UNICEF Zimbabwe and has applied his sales work ethic and strong negotiation skills in the travel and solar industry in Uganda. Allan’s hunger for networking, partnership development and his warm personality quickly saw him elected to the Board of the Uganda Solar Energy Association (USEA) were he serves to date.
