Large scale, off-grid and distributed solar PV in Latin America

Promoting market growth after COP26

A webinar on the current status and future of solar PV in LATAM in the wake of COP26, scheduled on December 15, 2021 at 10:00 BRT (10:00 Argentina / 9:00 Chile / 8:00 Peru / 7:00 México) will showcase the role of the GSC LATAM Task Force in contributing to a faster growth of solar PV in the region taking into account the outcomes of COP26, including potential new credit lines and financial opportunities for the solar market. Industry leaders and members of the GSC LATAM Task Force will offer an overview on the region’s solar PV markets – including on the Mexico situation – and their expectations for 2022.

The webinar will dedicate particular attention to the state of the art of solar distributed generation in Latin America and how to remove barriers through lessons learned. A success case will be presented on how to successfully promote distributed solar PV generation in cities: the Salvador Solar Program.
