Strategizing PV in SEA – Next Chapter

Solar PV returns: PV is set to play a leading role in the fast-growing and dynamic markets of South East Asia where countries are actively looking to rebuild after the pandemic and accelerate the long-term migration to green energy. However, as the economic and social dislocation brought by the Covid-19 crisis abates, a new setback has emerged in terms of a temporary price spike and difficulties in the supply chain.

The dynamics of the geo-politics and global economy will ensure there is a readjustment so that the downward trajectory of price decreases will continue in the mid-to-longer term. Meanwhile, how can the PV industry navigate these short-term headwinds and drive forward with renewed vigor? What kind of clear, pragmatic policies need to put in place to ensure a strong, convincing investment environment and the necessary infrastructure?

As part of the Global Solar Council’s Task Forces on Emerging Markets, this webinar brings a timely update on the vibrant and high potential markets of South East Asia.

For sure, the PV industry stands ready to build on its strong foothold in the region through competency, education and awareness involving various actors in society. Our distinguished and expert speakers will address these questions and give an updated and forward-looking analysis of the situation of PV markets in South East Asia covering questions of policy, education, project management, technical aspects and finance.
