Gianni Chianetta is Chair at GTI Foundation, BM & Secretary of GSC, Head of Global Alliance for Sustainable Energy Secretariat. In the energy sector since 2003, he has been MD at BP Solar Italy, Founder & Chair of the first Italian PV Industry Association for 3 terms when he negotiated the 5 feed in-tariff decree with the Italian Government, that has brought the installed capacity from about 35 MWp to more than 20 GWp. ​

He has been among the founders of the Network of National PV Associations in 2007 and of GSC in 2015 when he was elected Co-Chair and then Chair, as VP of Italia Solare, before taking on the role of CEO from Jan. 2021 to Oct. 2023. He has been also among the founders of GRA.
