SolarAid is a UK-based international development charity dedicated to tackling both poverty and the climate crisis by expanding access to clean, reliable solar energy across sub-Saharan Africa. Founded in 2006, SolarAid works alongside the most rural and hard-to-reach communities to replace hazardous and expensive kerosene lamps with safe, affordable solar lights, helping families earn more, children study after dark, and clinics function safely at any time of day.
