Past Chair

Máté oversees SolarPower Europe‘s work on international markets, research & innovation, projects & grants, finance, administration and HR. He also represents the association on the Boards of the Global Solar Council and the Solar Stewardship Initiative, as well as the Steering Group of IRENA’s Coalition for Action. Before joining SolarPower Europe, he worked at the German international cooperation GIZ. He holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Free University of Berlin and a Master’s degree in Economics from the Corvinus University of Budapest. He speaks English, German, French and Hungarian.
