Market Intelligence and Policy Intern
Atharwa holds a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy from Cranfield University, UK, where he developed a strong research background in renewable energy systems, advanced solar cell technologies, and innovative PV applications, including agrivoltaics (Agri-PV), vehicle-integrated photovoltaics (VIPV), floating solar, and solar recycling. For Atharwa, the clean energy transition is most impactful when innovation is matched with enabling policies that create environmental sustainability and social equity. His journey reflects an interdisciplinary approach that bridges technology, sustainability, and governance to address the complexity of the energy transition.
At the Global Solar Council, Atharwa contributes to market intelligence and policy advocacy by analysing global solar market trends, tracking auctions, procurement mechanisms, and regulatory developments, while also researching emerging solar applications. Alongside research, he assists with stakeholder engagement and event activities that help build stronger networks within the international solar community. Through this multifaceted role, his work reflects GSC’s mission to combine data, dialogue, and innovation to scale solar and storage as pillars of a sustainable energy future.
