Máté Heisz

Chair

As Director of Global Affairs at SolarPower Europe, Máté leads the International Cooperation team and the Research & Innovation team, covering the association’s work on emerging and overseas markets, international trade and supply chains, quality, innovation and funded projects. He is currently Chair of the Board of the Global Solar Council and member of the Steering Committee of the IRENA Coalition for Action. Before joining SolarPower Europe, Máté worked at the German international cooperation GIZ. He holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Free University of Berlin and a Master’s degree in Economics from the Corvinus University of Budapest. He speaks English, German, French and Hungarian.
