Senior Advisor - COP31

Cemil Tolun is the COP31 Senior Advisor at the Global Solar Council, bringing more than 25 years of experience across power conversion and photovoltaics, with a strong track record in sales and business development across international markets.

Cemil has held a range of sales leadership roles with leading US-listed companies, building extensive experience in commercial strategy, market development and business growth across diverse geographies. His career spans the evolution of the solar industry and the technologies supporting the global energy transition.

Cemil has also played an active role in the Turkish solar industry, serving three terms as a board member of GENSED, the Turkish Solar Energy Industry Association, including one term as Treasurer. At GSC, he draws on his deep industry knowledge and international commercial experience to support the Council’s work and strengthen engagement across the global solar sector.
