GÜNDER (International Solar Energy Society – Türkiye Section) is a leading non-governmental organisation established in 1992, dedicated to advancing solar energy science, technology and widespread adoption across Türkiye. GÜNDER serves as the official Turkish representative for the International Energy Agency’s (IEA) Photovoltaic Power Systems (PVPS) and Solar Heating and Cooling (SHC) programmes, while maintaining strong international collaborations with organisations such as SolarPower Europe and the International Solar Energy Society (ISES).

GÜNDER also plays an important role in developing the solar energy workforce through GÜNDERMYM, its accredited vocational qualification centre, which assesses and certifies professionals in solar installation. The organisation further supports knowledge-sharing across the sector through GÜNDERGİ, its bilingual industry magazine covering solar technology, market developments and industry trends. Alongside these activities, GÜNDER promotes basic and applied research and facilitates project development in partnership with public institutions and private-sector stakeholders, contributing to the continued growth and development of Türkiye’s solar energy sector.
